Soundgarden's deluxe Superunknown reissue arrives in stores this week, but the band is already looking at giving another album the same treatment.
Guitarist Kim Thayil tells Billboard there is plenty of bonus material to go along with Superunknown's predecessor Badmotorfinger, and they're thinking about releasing it for the record's 25th anniversary in 2016.
Thayil says they've also been putting together a career-spanning B-sides collection. But he adds that right now the band is mostly concerned about being current and vital. Thayil, however, didn't share any details about a possible follow-up to Soundgarden's last new studio effort, 2012's King Animal.
In the meantime the band is scheduled to kick off a European tour next week, followed by a co-headlining trek with Nine Inch Nails starting July 19th in Las Vegas.
