Survivor's Frankie Sullivan is remembering his late bandmate Jimi Jamison as a great singer and a great man.

In a Facebook post the guitarist praises the singer's talents, saying he called Jimi "Golden Throat" "for good reason."  Frankie describes Jimi's voice as "magic," explaining "it was massive and huge yet sweet and gentle."  He adds that Jamison was "a loving soul" with "a loving heart," and was "a brother" to him "in many ways."

Frankie admits he's struggling to express his pain and sorrow over such a "deep loss," and there's "no way to explain" it.  He adds that knowing Jimi is "in the best of places" provides "little comfort" to him and the others Jamison left behind, and he'll be greatly missed.

Jamison's booking agent announced his death earlier this week, saying the singer passed away Sunday after suffering a heart attack.  Jimi played what turned out to be his final concert with Survivor Saturday night in Morgan Hill, California.  He was 63.
