Kettering Holiday At Home

Sun, Aug 31, 2014 @ 10:00 am to Mon, Sep 1, 2014
Kettering Holiday At Home
The Holiday At Home celebration began on Labor Day 1959 under the sponsorship of the Kettering YMCA.  It was known that first year as "Kettering Day”.  The YMCA Board accepted a suggestion from then President Robert Eichenlaub to plan a community parade and program. The event’s first year success was so great that it was deemed worthwhile to continue for a second year.  From this well-organized beginning, Holiday At Home was refined and enlarged to the present Labor Day weekend festival that is now enjoyed by thousands of south suburban residents and visitors.

This year Holiday At Home will be “Celebrating the Great Outdoors” Sunday, August 31st and Monday, September 1st.  Activities will include a 5K, Arts & Craft and Auto Shows, Children's Activities, Parade, Entertainment and more!

Kettering Holiday at Home Parade will be held Monday, September 1st at  9:55am!
