It was only a matter of time before someone took Dave Grohl seriously when it came to storytelling and music.  His documentary “Sound City” is one of the best I have ever seen and was quite successful.

According to the limited information shared by Classic Rock Magazine, Dave will now have his own show on HBO.  The as-yet untitled series looks to be part talk show, part musical showcase.

You’ll see Dave traveling to different studios of note, recording music therein, and interviewing some of the better-known artists who've made albums at said facility.  He's apparently already spoken to Paul Stanley of KISS, Fugazi’s Ian MacKaye, Heart guitarist Nancy Wilson, and Joe Walsh of Eagles.  (Walsh also seems to have something to do with the new Foo Fighters album, more on that as it becomes available.)

I personally can NOT wait for this show.  Or the Foo album.
