British artist Chris Barker, who has been recreating the iconic Beatles album cover every December since 2016, says, "When I first did theSgt. Pepper-style montage in 2016 it was partly to cope with the shock...of so many legends passing in such a short space of time -- David Bowie,Prince,Carrie Fisher,George Martin-- and shock at the outcomes of the Trump election and the Brexit referendum. It was a shocking year and I think the world was going through a kind of collective grief."
This year's cover also includes Peter Tork of The Monkees, Doris Day, actor Rip Torn and author Toni Morrison.
Noticeably absent is Eddie Money, who died in September at the age of 70. Maybe he's not well known in the U.K.
