April 2nd 1971 - Ringo releases "It Don't Come Easy," his first top ten solo hit.

April 1st 1970 - As an April Fool's joke John & Yoko announce they've had dual sex change operations.  In 1973 - John & Yoko announce the formation of Nutopia, a new country with no boundaries or laws and a national anthem of silence.

March 31st 1972 - The official Beatles fan club closes due to sagging membership. Its monthly magazine and fan shop had already shut down.
