Despite the hundreds of thousands of photos of The Beatles, there has reportedly never been one published from their final recording sessions -- January 3rd and 4th, 1970.
That changed yesterday (Thursday) when, in celebration of Paul McCartney's 78th birthday, a photo of him and George Harrison playing acoustic guitars at those sessions was posted on band's Facebook page.
With John Lennon on vacation in Denmark, Paul, George and Ringo were in Abbey Road finishing the sessions for the album that would become Let It Be. They cut George's "I Me Mine," and did background vocals and few instrumental overdubs.
The last time all four Beatles were in the studio together was August 20th, 1969.
